From Sumburgh Airport:
- Start out at Sumburgh Airport in Shetland, drive approximately half a mile, then
- At the junction next to the airport, turn right onto the A970, signposted Lerwick.
- Continue on the A970 for 22 miles past Sandwick, through Cunningsburgh and Quarff.
- 3 miles north of Quarff, at the junction, turn left onto the B9073, signposted north, A970.
- One mile later, at the junction, turn right, signposted Lerwick and the North.
- Continue along this road for about a mile, and then at the T junction, turn left, signposted A970.
- Continue on the A970 for, passing Tingwall and Girlsta.
- After 9 miles, turn right onto the B9075, signposted South Nesting.
- Continue along the single track B9075 for 1 mile, until you reach a junction, there is a shop on your right as you approach the junction.
- Do not turn right. Continue along the single track road for 1 mile signposted Billister North Nesting, you will pass a loch on your left hand side.
- You will reach another junction but again continue along coastal road signposted Billister, North Nesting for a further 2 miles.
- You will ascend up an incline where you will see a War Memorial to your left and directly after a road sign signposted Kirkabister Neap indicating to turn right at this road junction.
- Turn right and continue along the single track road where you will see after 0.3 mile a Kirk to your right. Continue along the single track road. The sea will be immediately to your right.
- After 0.2 mile bear left up a track clearly signposted Nilmurhaa.

Continue a short distance along the track to a red gravel drive.
